We took a mini trip to Fairbanks, AK to watch Malinda's cousin Shanley play volleyball. While on our trip to Fairbanks Malinda really wanted to go to the Ice Museum at Chena Hot Springs Resort. We drove the one hour drive north of Fairbanks to the Chena Hot Springs Resort. The Ice Museum is open year around with daily tours. When you first walk in you notice a chill in the air. The temperature stays at 20 degrees so you are told to dress warmly (they do have parkas for those who do not come prepared). You are able to stay a night at the Ice Museum if you can handle the cold. During the tour you are told to only walk or sit on the carpeted area or the caribou skinned covered areas. At the end of the tour you are able to go and sit at the ice bar and drink an apple martini in your ice glass.
