I found out I had a work conference in DC back in December and I was trying to figure out how I was going to bring G and go to the conference at the same time. My mom graciously offered to come with us and baby sit during the day (it didn't take much to get her to go). During the day my mom took off walking and took G to the National Zoo where they saw the baby pandas and the National Cathedral. I was free in the evenings and we were able to take the DC Night Tour. It turned out to be a beautiful night (the next night it was snowing and many people said they were not able to get good pictures). We saw the sites all in the comfort of our heated tour bus and we were able to get out and walk around at the different locations. We had delicous southern food at Georgia Browns (highly recommend it if you are ever in DC). We were even able to make it to the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Art - Portraits and then to Union Station. We became pros at riding the metro. I can't wait to take G back when she is older and when Dad can come with us. The above picture is at the Vietnam Memorial.
