New Years Resolution?!?!

Typically I don't make New Year Resolutions but '09 is the exception.

My 2009 resolution is to run a marathon...eckkkkkkk...running...I know what am I thinking?!?! I haven't ran since high school (I jokes) but seriously I haven't ran since I moved to Nome.

On Christmas Eve my cousin Theresa mention that the Rock n Roll Marathon is coming to Seattle for the first time on June 27, 2009. I have been thinking about it since and have decided that I am going to do it. I haven't decided if I am going to do the full or the half but it should be fun. A few of the cousins are also going to be training for it as well. I am hoping that my mom will run it with me as well. Mom have we talked you into it yet?

For more information and if you think you may want to run it: http://www.rnrseattle.com/

I'm doing the half! It should be a great run. Maybe I'll see you there.

That's good! I know a lot of people who are into marathons these days. I need to get back into shape myself, so I can keep up with the little one! lol! Well LJ's 1st birthday luau is that day so atleast you'll be in town! After the marathon you can come to his party then! (like how I've already made the decision for you?) LOL! Good luck with the training!

DO IT BADS!
I ran St George, UT last year, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I am doing another one as soon as I can get in shape after my babe is born. I am addicted, it seriously is the best thing. It is the hardest thing, but so rewarding. Let me know if you need any pointers. Julie Strong, was the one that got me hooked. She ran San Fran, then qualified for Boston. (THat is amazing, you have to run a 3:15 for our age group) She ran it the year I was visiting my fam for Easter a couple years ago. It was so fun to follow her, and listen to her prepare for it. SO FUN!

PS
I was NEVER a runner, I never even did track. Just had to get in shape, and by the end of training I was in better shape then high school and had a way more toned body then even when I was at my peak in High School sports. It was great~
