Many of you know that I have been working for Head Start the past 3 years. This past year I was promoted to Director of our program and I have had the opportunity to travel. Every year the Alaska Head Start Association holds a leadership conference in Juneau (the capital of AK). At the conference we had the pleasure of enjoying an evening at the Governor's Mansion. We were able to meet with Gov. Palin and chat with her about our issues in rural AK. The picture is some of my co workers and I after we met with Gov. Palin.I still don't know who I am voting for but the country would be getting a great lady as vice president and the State of AK would be losing a great governor.
**Update**
So it has been one week since they announced that the Obama/Biden ticket won. I do have to say that we both voted for that ticket and are pleased with the outcome. So when I wrote the post above Gov Palin has just been announced and the media ring digging into her past had not yet begun. I didn’t like the Palin who ran for vice-president. But that Palin was different from the Palin who governed Alaska. It makes me wonder who we really vote for? Is the person with the most money to bash the other opponent or make themselves look good the one that comes out shining in the end?
